Many people who worked with the company for many years we re being laid off. I tried applying for other positions but my interview times didnt correspond with my schedule and so therefore i quit thinking I was going to get a job fast.Now its been 2 months and im out of a job and Im not sure if Id even be eligible to apply for employment insurance. Will they give me a chance even though i quit?what can i do to help my application process???? HELP

Another company wants to hire me. It is temping, but I am reluctant because I feel like I would lose my current job security, as I would be new, and therefore more replaceable, if they find someone to do my job, for less $$$.

Is there any common way a recruiting employer might offer a potential employee, some assurance of job security? (like some sort of contract or something)
